I dunno about Elliott, but I've read (I think it was in one of my VA newspapers) that Hermie and his family are actively involved in their church, either in Emporia or in the Emporia area.

Yes he has as beautiful house in Emporia. They had a nice aticle in a NASCAR Illustrated magazine and showed the pictures. It is gorgeous just like ELLIOTT!!!

Elliott has a nice, big house in Emporia. Hermie's house is just as nice. The photo shoot in NASCAR Illustrated was GREAT!!! Elliott has some drawings he did when he was a little boy up in his house. He also has some of his old toys in the house. His kitchen is to die for and so is his bedroom. LOVE the big tub and shower. You can tell it's definitely a bachelors place.
And I do believe he does go to church when he's home. I would guess he's Baptist but I really don't know. I saw 2 or 3 big churches in town when we stayed there last December. |

Seeing as I'm from (basically) the same part of VA as the Sadlers, the majority of Christians around here are Baptist or Southern Baptist, and I think Catholic is the 2nd highest denomination. Ex: my church has 4,000+ members and about 2,000 people who come and go off and on but aren't members. Yup, parking for church is about as bad as parking at a race. We have traffic directors with the little orange vests, cops stopping traffic on the road, shuttles for when people have to park in a middle school a mile or so away, and signs everywhere that say "Please use emergency flashers."
 Such is the life of a Southern Baptist in Southern VA!  Although I'm from a much more highly populated area than Emporia (which is, if you want to lump it together with other areas, the Southside-- the very far edge of it anyway-- whereas I'm on the highly traffic-- and people-- congested Peninsula). When I was doing research on school counseling, I vaguely remember the entire Emporia school system had 6 guidance counselors... my HS alone had 8.
