Yeah well, it wasn't intentional. And AJ apologized before they ever interviewed him, as soon as he got out of his car. And Elliott's zinger was
blatant pot calling the kettle black. He apparently has a short memory if he can't remember a week back. I don't want to start anything more, so this
is the last I'll say on the subject. I'm just about over Elliott and some of his fans, even though I can see that he had a right to be pissed when he
had a good car. I can understand that it was anger talking. I just don't take to drivers deliberately putting down other drivers. It shows a singular lack
of class.

I agree - I know that AJ took him out and he apologized. Elliott took out Tony and said it was a dumb rookie move - um...HELLLOOOO!?!?!?! Haven't you been
racing for a while and should know better? I' m just tired of him griping about everyone else, or his equipment, or his new team blah blah blah - PUT UP OR

I hate to say it, but I don't think Elliott is into racing like he should be. He has sucked, for whatever reason, for the two years I've been his fan.
I'm so sick of his whining on the radio. I agree and am about fed up with him. Also, I talked to a guy that was the catch can man for Derrick Cope last
year in the Busch series and he said Elliott is a nice guy, in front of the cameras. Off camera he's arrogant and not so nice. I believe it, but was
disappointed to hear it just the same. He also said Jimmie, Denny, DJ, JR, Tony, Mark Martin, and a few others were not nice guys. He said Kasey, Scott, Jeff
Gordon, Kyle Petty, Matt Kenseth, the Busch boys and a bunch others were super nice, on and off the camera. If Elliott doesn't get his shit together,
I'm changing drivers. Good looking or not, I'm up to here (eyebrows) with him.

I've heard the same, damn you can't even get a picture of him on pit road - such as ass. If I saw in public again, I'll probably ignore him -
it'd be different if you've got talent like Shrub but he ain't driving like he should. If he's got stuff on his mind, then go and get it off.
Go to a spa, sleep with some random girl WHATEVER just start driving! Just my opinion.....

the same shit happened that they created a week or weeks before....

This is a great post. I admire everyone's honesty.
I'm more of a Ray Evernham fan, I met Kasey Kahne before he drove for Ray at the Knoxville Nationals in Knoxville Iowa. I've had two other run ins with Kasey since he's driven for Ray and he's still as nice now as he was back then. I root for Elliott because he drives for Ray. I know very little about his racing history. |

Thanks for the above post, Kim. I am a huge fan of Matt's (even before Dave Smith went back to the Killer Bees), plus about four or so more drivers. I can't say that I am a big fan of Elliott's anymore, mostly because of his attitude, and like others have said, his tendency to blame everyone else for his problems. More importantly, I hope no one leaves this board because they lose interest in Elliott! I read a lot of other boards and this is by far, one of the most fun! If you are losing interest in NA$CAR because of ESad, then find about four or five (or more!) drivers to droll over and "yell" for and your chances of enjoying the races are much greater! "A lot of guys go to Aspen or the Bahamas or whatever.

i already posted but i will post again...I like elliott...he's my fav driver and i have about a handful of others...
(kasey and greg since hometown guys), jr (yes) and gordo too...and others...some are good drivers, some havent had a win in ages. you root for your driver and stand by him.... ok so elliott has had crap years issues at ryr, then changes to ray .... well last year everyone at rays did bad not just elliott...and this year..EVERYONE is still struggling all teams hendrick, rouch the only teams doing fairly well with this car are gibbs.....everyone is playing catchup and testing everywhere... i still hope to see elliott get back up in points rather than the downhill slide (but kurt b and ryan and other top names are down in points too)...he will never be a big winner with tons of wins like many other drivers....but i still hold out for some poles, maybe some consistancy and good luck to get top 10, top 15s at this point, top 5s would be fantastic and the bonus would be a win..... if his mind has been on other things...which i am sure it has..his mom for one...sometimes its hard to put that aside come race day try as you might... does he whine..so what so do others...listen in on their scanners...even the ones not winning whine and the winners whine just as bad during the race... he'll bounce back - i am hoping and have some good runs...if not i liked him long before he was winning races and will continue to like him regardless.... ok off my soapbox now.... |

Deb, if I offended you, then I 'm sorry. However, I feel I have a right to vent if I feel like it. I root for Elliott week after week (as we all do) and
it's finally taken it's toll on me. As much as I'm sick of him not winning and all his radio whining, I can't desert him, so I vent. Big deal.

in the minority here these days. And that just makes me sad. I really liked this site, but whether he wins or loses...I am a fan of Elliott's and will
always be....I can't turn on him or come on here and talk crap about him just because he has "sucked" lately...Sorry, that is not my defination
of a fan and this no longer seems to be my defination of a fan site.

Ladies, we are ALL allowed to say our peace on here. We all love E or we wouldn't be here. This is a "fan site". NO one on here is a "fair
weather fan", but when the man has down periods it is ok to say so. It is also ok to help your friends remember not to dog him if it is being done. But
with that said, we are all grown ups here, and if ANYONE doesn't like it here or what is being said, or if they lose the E love then we hate to see them
go, but it is ok. Like I said, we are ALL GROWN UPS.
